Edmonton, A City Full of Summer Fun
From an international jazz festival that begins later this month to an international theatre festival later in August, the city of Edmonton is full of fun and festivities this summer. While many people love to escape city living in the summer for ocean adventures or escapes in the mountains, Edmonton proves that city life can provide plenty o
f summertime fun.
Whether you enjoy food, art, music or all of it, the long daylight hours make enjoying Edmonton possible for roughly 16 hours a day. Here are just a few of the festivities coming to Edmonton this summer:
- The Works Art & Design Festival, June 19 – July 1, a free event showcasing visual art and design throughout Downtown Edmonton.
- Edmonton International Jazz Festival, June 25 – July 4, hosting a variety of musicians from around the world.
- A Taste of Edmonton, July 23 – August 1, a festival of food, wine and beer.
- The Edmonton International Fringe Festival, August 12 – 22, an international theatre festival.
