Edmonton Cleans Water, Wins Award

By · Tuesday, June 8, 2010

The city of Edmonton has developed a way of cleaning water run-off, winning an award for being green in the process.  Water is an issue all over the world and taWater is cleaner than ever in Edmontonking septic water, as well as generally used water, and cleaning it before it re-enters the river is of the utmost importance.  Edmonton recognized the need for cleaning water before it returns to the river, to be better for both the environment and the community, and they have done a great job.

The water, mostly storm sewer water from North Edmonton, used to travel directly into the Saskatchewan River, dirty and dangerous to the river’s ecosystem.  Now the water travels first to a watershed that was created so that the water could filter out the bad stuff and enter the river in a more pure state.

Edmonton is a city that cares about its environment, growing greener every year.  For more information about the city and the opportunities that exist here give me a call today.
