Edmonton Home Starts On Upswing

The latest data for Edmonton home starts is jaw-dropping, showing triple the amount from a year ago.  Lately when it comes to real estate the news for Canada as a whole, as well as the city of Edmonton, is nothing but positive.  People are believing in real estate and wanting to invest their dollars in it.  Recently surveys, data and research has displayed the desire of Canadians and foreign investors wanting to put their money into real estate.

When it comes to Edmonton real estate, new construction is on the rise.  More than 1,400 homes began construction in April, compared with just over 350 in April of 2009.  This is great news for the Edmonton area, showing that despite rising interest rates and the threat of rising interest rates real estate is growing.
